Computing Curriculum

Computing

At Bathampton Primary School, we aim to enthuse and equip children with the capability to use technology throughout their lives. We understand the value technology plays not only in supporting the Computing and whole school curriculum but also in day-to-day life. Through a sequence of lessons, we intend to inspire pupils to develop a love of the digital world and see its place in their future.

We believe that technology can provide: enhanced collaborative learning opportunities; high engagement levels; easier access to rich content; support conceptual understanding of new concepts and can support the needs of all our pupils.

Our curriculum provides flexibility and strong cross-curricular links, allowing teachers to adapt lessons to link with their termly topics. One of Bathampton’s Computing priorities is to engage children with cross-curricular learning through interacting with a variety of technology. We believe technology enriches learning and we therefore endeavour to provide Computing opportunities throughout each area of the curriculum to provide a stimulus for learning.
