Welcome to Year 6

In Year 6, Mrs Reynolds and Mrs Sheppard are the class teachers. Mrs Davies also teaches Art and DT.

Our PE days this term are Monday and Wednesday. Please come to school wearing your kit on these days.

In Term 6 our parent sharing DEAR time will be Thursday morning. Our Growing Wild afternoon will be Friday 12th June.

Topic: Battle of Britain (History) 

• In English, we will writing persuasive leaflets based on our residential and an explanation text linked to our science topic.
• In Science we will be continuing our topic 'Living Things and their Environment'
• In PSHE, we will learning about changes to our body. 
• In History we will be studying the Battle of Britain 
• In PE, we are excited to have Bath Cricket running sessions every Monday and we will be doing athletics each Wednesday. 
• In Maths, we will be revising our four operations and applying our knowledge across the year to problem solving projects. 

Homework

Reading – pupils should read a ‘scheme’ book (or novel if free-reader) with an adult at least five times a week. Reading records are checked every Monday. 

Spelling Shed - children will have access to Spelling Shed’s online platform where weekly spelling lists, set by the class teacher, can be found as well as games and activities to learn the spellings learnt in class.
