Together on a Learning Adventure
In Year 4, Ms Candlish and Mrs Lunn are the class teachers and we are supported by the brilliant Mrs Garrard and marvellous Miss Sloan. Mrs Lunn teaches on Tuesdays and Mrs Garrard on Thursday afternoons.
Our PE days for term 5 are Monday and Wednesday. Please come to school wearing your kit on these days. It is very useful to also have a spare change of clothes on wet or muddy days.
This term's Forest School session will be held on Wednesday 17th May. Please ensure that you have wellies and a coat in school on that day (whatever the weather) and come dressed in comfortable clothes, with long sleeves and trousers.
Our topic for terms 5 and 6 is Ancient Civilisations. This project teaches children about the history of three of the world’s first ancient civilisations: ancient Sumer, ancient Egypt and the Indus Valley civilisation. Children will learn about the rise, life, achievements and eventual end of each civilisation.

In addition to daily reading, spelling and times tables practise, your child will bring home one piece of work that will support their learning across the curriculum. This will be set on a Wednesday to be returned each Monday. Library books and scheme reading books will be changed on Wednesdays.

Spelling Frame
All children from year 2-6 will have access to Spelling Frame’s online platform where weekly spelling lists, set by the class teacher, can be found as well as games and activities to learn spellings.
Login information will be stuck into homework books or reading records. Spelling lists will be available each Wednesday.
